MY SPECIAL MESSAGES (THURSDAY NOVEMBER 26 2020 8:59 PM EDT)

  • See the latest birdseye view post below for more on the following:

  • A strong upper vortex forecast to form in the northeastern Atlantic Ocean is forecast to trigger a vigorous surface cyclone which may acquire tropical characteristics. Regardless of acquisition of tropical characteristics or not, the surface cyclone has a high chance of bringing gusty and potentially damaging winds to Madeira Island for a long period of time starting Saturday. Coastal sea swells are likely for Madeira Island, the remainder of the Canary Islands, and Portugal during this timeframe as well.

  • As the author of infohurricanes.com, I have also been monitoring the progress of the worldwide outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, see COVID-19 page in the above site menu for details. For the United States, see included message at the top of the COVID-19 page that explains the severity of the virus and how it could cause a catastrophic amount of fatalities, much more than the common flu, if large amounts of citizens continue to not perform best practices to stop the spread of the virus such as wearing a mask in public. Please spread this message to as many people as possible!

BIRDSEYE VIEW POSTS

Since 2012 on the Weather Underground (www.wunderground.com) blogs, I have been posting annotated "birdseye view" charts of the Atlantic basin, with a detailed explanation and forecasting that references the chart. From there you may know me as "NCHurricane2009." While I now do these "birdseye view" posts here, I will continue to do comments via Disqus on Weather Underground at www.wunderground.com/cat6. You can see my Disqus feed at this link for my latest comments. Feel free to reply to me with your disqus account or e-mail at IOHurricanes@outlook.com
