Unique Content for Understanding Current Happenings in the Atlantic Tropics, and How Weather and Hurricanes Work
MY SPECIAL MESSAGES (FRIDAY JUNE 2 2023 2:20 AM EDT)
The surface low pressure in the northeastern Gulf of Mexico has become Tropical Depression Two within the last few hours. The upper trough that triggered the depression will bring periods of additional heavy rainfall to Cuba, the Bahamas, and Haiti over the next few days. See the latest birdseye view post published below for more information.
As the author of infohurricanes.com, I have also been monitoring the progress of the worldwide outbreak of the COVID-19 virus. The COVID-19 page has not been updated over the several months. The COVID-19 page will be updated soon to review how the virus has progressed in 2021 and 2022, in the meantime it is important to keep up with the latest vaccinations and boosters to suppress the spread and severity of the virus.
BIRDSEYE VIEW POSTS
Since 2012 on the now retired Weather Underground blogs, I have been posting annotated "birdseye view" charts of the Atlantic basin, with a detailed explanation and forecasting that references the chart. From there you may know me as "NCHurricane2009." While I now do these "birdseye view" posts here, I will continue to do comments at Yale Climate Connections via Disqus where the former Weather Underground community has moved to. Feel free to reply to me there, at my Disqus feed at this link, or via e-mail at IOHurricanes@outlook.com
